Welcome to Literacy Advance - a specialist literacy support service providing face-to-face and online sessions to children aged 5 to 8 years who are experiencing challenges with learning to read and write. Each learning journey for each individual who comes to Literacy Advance begins at the same point - where they are currently at! We help children make progress from this point to the next by providing friendly, individualised, evidence-based instruction that not only helps develop the necessary skills to build a strong foundation for literacy - but also builds confidence! Children experience success with their learning at Literacy Advance!

The Right Combination
Learning to read and write is a complex process. Making progress towards a strong literacy foundation requires addressing the specific challenges experienced by individual learners. This means in the first instance being able to measure the right thing! This can then inform the provision of the right instruction at the right time with the right intensity and the right frequency. Being attuned to what success looks like for individual students helps to make adjustments to instructional delivery to maximise outcomes.
